Track Work Days

June 16 and 17 will be Track Work days. Come out and help clean up our track. Bring your lawn mowers and weed wackers.

State Qualifier Weekend

Our State Qualifier Weekend is July 20 - 22. During this weekend, we will be holding a Chinese Auction to raffle off various baskets. Please consider donating a basket to be raffled off during the State Qualifier. See Connie Stover for more details.

Congratulations go out to local rider, Tom Truxell who made the main, placing 7th on Day 1 in the 17-24 Expert class. This class may be the toughest in BMX today.

There were some close races. In the Novice Class, 3 points separated 1^st and 2^nd while in the Expert Class, there was a separation of only 50 points.

Yahoo Site Search Functionality

Right now the site search function at the top of each page is not working. It appears to be a software glitch with the Yahoo Tool, Site Builder, that I use to create this web site. I found an alternative Search Engine on Yahoo that is external from Site Builder and placed it at the bottom of the page. However, for the time being, it doesn't appear that Yahoo has re-indexed the site for a while because none of this year’s entries appear when I type a last name.

Stay tuned for the continuing Search Engine Saga. The reason it matters to me is that it is nice, every once in a while, to type in my son’s last name and see what pages he was on. You can find pictures and results that way.

I've got to get the search function working. I noticed today that it is not finding any names. Once it is working, all you'll have to do is type in your name and up will pop up any web page at Westmoreland BMX you are listed on.

The next race will be on Saturday, May 26. Registration is from 12 - 1 with racing beginning at 1:30. This will be our last Saturday race until September. In June, our racing moves to Tuesday Nights.
